Each scaffold is typically between five and six feet in height. Workers exposed to fall hazard.

29 CFR  1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level was not protected from falling to that lower level.  On or about: 3/8/2023 Location: 35 Crest Court, Monsey, NY 10952  a) Five (5) of the workers were observed performing stucco work while on a tubular welded frame scaffolding. The scaffold was six bays wide and nine bays high with the 8th bay of the scaffold being the topmost working platform with planks. This scaffold was positioned on the leading edge and tied into the building. The measurements for this type of scaffold are usually between five and six feet high and five and six feet wide per bay.  Two (2) of the workers were on the 3rd bay, one (1) worker on the 6th bay, and two (2) workers on the 8th bay of the scaffold. All five (5) workers were observed to be performing work without fall protection. ** Five (5) employees were observed performing stucco work on a tubular welded frame scaffold greater than 10 feet above a lower level without fall protection. Workers exposed to fall hazard.

Three (3) of the workers were performing work on the scaffold with two planks on the exterior corner brackets as their work area on the 3rd and 8th bay of the scaffold. One (1) of the workers were performing work on the scaffold with five planks as their work area on the 6th bay, two planks on the exterior corner brackets and three planks on the main body of the scaffold.  Workers were exposed to potential falling hazard.
