29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. At 500 World Commerce Parkway, Saint Augustine, FL: On or about March 3, 2023, in the Fabrication Area of the machine shop, the employer exposed employees to an amputation hazard, in that the Piranha PII-110 Ironworker Punch Press did not have a guard properly installed to provide protection of the point of operation and/or nip points.
