When an employee is exposed to falling objects, the employer must ensure that each employee wears head protection that meets the requirements of 29 CFR part 1910, subpart I.  In addition, the employer must protect employees from falling objects by implementing one or more of the following:  A) Location:  200 Halstead Avenue, Harrison - NY (Back field of the Parsons Memorial School)  On or about October 8th, 2022 an employee was fatally struck by a tree branch which fell approximately 40 feet to the ground below. The employer failed to ensure that employees were not positioned in the drop zone during tree trimming operations, as no barricades were provided.
