29 CFR 1910.176(b): Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse: a) Sam's Club Ecommerce Fulfillment Center#6298: Employees were exposed to struck-by and caught in or between hazard(s) when they were instructed to stack pallets of outdoor furniture in a tiered pyramid system that was not stable and secure against sliding and collapse. Condition observed on or about March 16, 2023. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
