29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.  On or about March 21st, 2023 Location: 164 E Eckerson Rd, Nanuet, NY 10977  a) Employees were accessing the roof with a ladder that did not extend 3 feet above the upper landing and was not secured at the top.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about March 21st, 2023 Location: 164 E Eckerson Rd, Nanuet, NY 10977  a) Employees were installing roof shingles with pneumatic nail guns without eye protection.  JJS Construction & Carpenter Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1575293, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/03/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 164 Phelps Ave, CRESSKILL, NJ 07626

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.  On or about March 21st, 2023. Location: 164 E Eckerson Rd, Nanuet, NY 10977  a) Employees were exposed to fall while engaged on roofing work  higher than 8 ft without the use of personal fall arrest system or any other type of fall protection.  JJS Construction & Carpenter Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1575293, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/03/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 164 Phelps Ave, CRESSKILL, NJ 07626.
