29 CFR 1915.77(c):- When employees were working aloft, or elsewhere at elevations more than 5 feet above a solid surface, either scaffolds or a sloping ladder, meeting the requirements of Subpart E- Scaffolds, Ladders, and Other Working Surfaces, were not protected by safety belts and lifelines meeting the requirements of 1915.59 and 1915.160. a) Hull 553: On or about March 20, 2023, and at time prior to the employer failed to ensure employees used guardrails, safety net or fall arrest system to prevent falls of up to 18 feet to a concrete surface below the working surface of the flipped upside-down Hull 553 new boat construction while performing assigned work job tasks such as welding and tacting.
