29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a)	On March 30, 2023, employees performing framing work were exposed to fall hazards up 19.3 feet.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):  Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a)  On March 30, 2023, employees were using a portable extension ladder which did not extend 3 feet above the upper landing being accessed.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4):  Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  a) On March 30, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards on the upper roof while using an A-frame ladder in the closed position on an elevated pitched roof surface.  b)  On March 30, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards while using an A-frame ladder as a work platform.  c) On March 30, 2023, employees were exposed to fall hazards while using an A- frame ladder for access and egress between two points; a lower roof and the second upper roof level of the house.   No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
