29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3):Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: Locations: 1. New Building Third Floor: Emergency Exit by Column A-35 blocked by rolling tub rack. 2. New Building Third Floor: Emergency Exit Door Stairway 4. Rat trap on the floor in front of the door. 3. New Building Third Floor: Emergency Exit Door Stairway 5. Rat trap on floor in front of the door's left side. 4. New Building Third Floor: Emergency Exit Door West Wall-Stairway 6 mail tub wedged under door. Door partially open. On or about April 3, 2023, exit doors were blocked or partially blocked exposing employees to burns, smoke inhalation and tripping hazards in the event employees have to egress the building due to a fire or an emergency. The US Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1458900, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 13, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at US Postal Service's Marina Station, 270 de la Candelaria Mayaguez, PR 00682.
