The equivalent level of the 421.9% is approximately 100.3 dBA which is capable of causing permanent hearing loss.  The sampling was performed for 392 minutes during one work shift on April 11, 2013.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time period of 88 minutes.  The employer had not implemented a hearing conservation program as described above for all employees exposed to noise levels greater than 85 dBA.  b) Location: Firing Range and Retail Counter         On or about April 11, 2023, an employee who was completing retail sales and backup Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties was exposed to noise levels at 94.7% of the allowable 8-hour time weighted average sound level (80 dBA).  The equivalent level of the 94.7% is approximately 89.6 dBA which is capable of causing permanent hearing loss.  The sampling was performed for 414 minutes during one work shift on April 11, 2023.  Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled time period of 66 minutes.  The employer had not implemented a hearing conservation program as described above for all employees exposed to noise levels greater than 85 dBA.
