OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause crushing injuries to employees:  (a) 2141 MacCorkle Ave., Shop Floor: On or about April 6, 2023 and times prior, employees operated a pneumatic sash punch. The punch utilizes foot pedals for actuation, one for each side of the machine. The foot pedal on the right side of the machine was not protected to prevent actuation from falling or moving objects, or by inadvertent stepping onto the foot control.  (b) 2141 MacCorkle Ave., Shop Floor: On or about April 6, 2023 and times prior, employees operated a pneumatic notch saw. The saw utilizes foot pedals for actuation, one for each side of the machine. The foot pedal on the right side of the machine was not protected to prevent actuation from falling or moving objects, or by inadvertent stepping onto the foot control.
