29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: On or about April 5, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees grinding, cutting, and polishing quartz material were required to wear a respirator, exposing employees to an undue physiological burden. The employer did not implement a written respiratory protection program to include but not limited to the following: a) Ensuring employees were medically cleared to wear a respirator. b) Ensuring employees were fit tested on respirator worn. c) Prohibiting facial hair to ensure a good respirator to face seal.
