Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to burns from accidental contact with hot steam pipes:   a) On or about April 7, 2023, and at times prior, the employer, Peak View Brewing Company, LLC, did not ensure brewing employees were protected from severe burn hazards due to potential contact with non-insulated and, or unguarded boiling water pipes.  These pipes, which are approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit, ran from a gas-fired heating system underneath the boiling kettle and made horizontal entry into the top of the cooling coils.  This specific section of piping partially protrudes into the walkway at a height of 36 inches and was adjacent to steps leading up to the boiling kettle.
