Bay Saint Louis, MS. - On or about April 5, 2023, the employer instructed his employees to erect and use the wooden scaffolding around the exterior of the new house being built where the walkway is not 18 inches wide exposing employees to fall hazards.

29 CFR  1926.451(e)(1):Where scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers, stairway-type ladders, ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from another scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used for access:  (a) West side of house - On or about April 5, 2023, the employer instructed his employee to use the wooden scaffolding to finish framing the house where the walkway was 5 feet above the landing and was not provided a safe means of access exposing employee to fall hazards.
