29 CFR 1926.502(k)(4): The implementation of the fall protection plan shall be under the supervision of a competent person. a) On or about April 7, 2023, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 25 feet from the edge of the roof deck while engaged in roofing activities without the use of fall protection or a safety monitoring system. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
