29 CFR 1960.8(a):29 CFR 1960.8(a): The Agency head did not furnish employment and a place of employment to each employee that were free from recognized hazards that caused or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm: Tucson Sector: Tucson sector and management officials were unable to locate and ensure the safety of agents working in remote field locations. On April 4th, 2023, border patrol agents working in remote locations of the Sonoran Desert, approximately 1.5 hours southwest of Casa Grande Station, were unable to communicate their whereabouts or any emergency situations.

29 CFR 1960.8(a):29 CFR 1960.8(a): The Agency head did not furnish employment and a place of employment to each employee that were free from recognized hazards that caused or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm: Tucson Sector: The Border Patrol failed to develop/implement and follow a plan to locate, provide medical attention to, and evacuate field agents. On April 4th, 2023, a border patrol agent suffered a medical emergency and could not be located, evacuated, or provided with time sensitive medical care. He was later found deceased in his patrol vehicle over four hours past the end of his work shift.
