29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour: Located in Building A, oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders including acetylene. Employees are exposed to a fire hazard that could result in burns or smoke inhalation. 1. Two acetylene cylinders were stored next to an oxygen cylinder underneath a sign stating "Return all shop rags". 2. One oxygen cylinder was stored next to a fuel-gas cylinder on a cart that did not have a 5ft non-combustible barrier with a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour.
