29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: a. On or about April 12, 2023, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing structural steel detailing activities from a JLG 400S aerial lift, approximately ten (10) feet six (6) inches above ground, were not utilizing personal fall protection equipment, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. Schmidt Steel Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1601796, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on November 23, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 14939 W. 143rd St. in Homer Glen, Illinois. Schmidt Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1329453, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 23, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 115 E.
