29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c): a) On or about April 13, 2023, employees of Sck, Incorporated were not protected from cave-in hazards while working in a trench, measuring approximately 6.7 feet in depth. Sck, Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1442986, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 28, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1650 W. Algonquin Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
