29 CFR 1926.1060(a):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders, as necessary, which would train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards related to ladders: a) 86 Nicole Drive, Brick Twp., NJ - The employer did not provide ladder training for the employees using Werner aluminum 32 foot extension ladders on the site thus exposing employees to hazards such as but not limited to fall hazards. An employee working for the company suffered severe head and facial injuries when he fell from a Werner 32 foot aluminum extension ladder when carrying equipment to the roof. This condition was noted on or about April 14, 2023. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
