29 CFR  1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:  On or about April 19, 2023, employees were not able to open an exit route from the inside at all times in the following areas:  a. At the ice room area. A double exit door had one of the panels locked with a slide latch lock.  b. At the breakroom hallway. An exit door was locked from the inside with a lock.  NOTE:  Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer within 24 hours of the inspection.

29 CFR  1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit":  On or about April 19, 2023, each designated exit did not have a sign reading "Exit" in the following areas:  a. At the ice room area, a double door leading towards the main store.  b. At the kitchen area, an exit leading towards the ice room area hallway and main store.    c. At the kitchen area, an exit with plastic strip curtain leading toward the break room hallway.    NOTE:  Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.

29 CFR  1910.101(b):  Section 3.3.4 Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P1-1965, as adopted by 29 CFR 1910.101(b): charged and empty cylinders should be stored separately with the storage layout so planned that cylinders comprising old stock can be removed first with a minimum handling of other cylinders:   a. On or about April 19, 2023, at the receiving area. Employees worked and walked by several empty and full propane (LPG) gas cylinders that were not labelled, stored and secured to prevent being knocked over.    NOTE:  Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer within 24 hours of the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:  a. On or about April 19, 2023, in the kitchen area. Two electrical service panels were not readily accessible, both panels were blocked by three wheeled carts, two of them carrying miscellaneous cooking supplies such as a variety of flours and canned products.   NOTE:  Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer within 24 hours of the inspection.
