29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) Corner of Avery Avenue and Cayuga Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. On or about April 20, 2023, employees were engaged in residential roofing without the use of fall protection. The employees were exposed to a 16-foot fall from the upper roof, and an 8-foot fall from the lower roof. The employer failed to ensure employees engaged in residential roofing activities were protected from falling by use of guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.
