29 CFR  1926.1052(c)(3)(i):The height of stair rails installed after March 15, 1991, was less than 36 inches (91.5 cm) from the upper surface of the stair rail system to the surface of tread, in line with the face of the riser at the forward edge of the tread:  location: front entrance of building  by Gate 2 on or about: 4/21/23  a) Employees used  a stairway to access the building.  One of the open sides of the  stairway had a stairrail that was inadequate. The stair rail,  for the lower 9 stairs, was only 27 inches high.  NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
