Acevedo Carpentry at 378 East Agate Avenue, Granby, CO 80446: On April 25, 2023 the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury in that employees were conducting framing operations at heights over 20 feet on new residential construction without the use of fall protection. This condition exposes to employees to fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. a. Acevedo Carpentry at 378 East Agate Avenue, Granby, CO 80446: On April 25, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that portable ladders, used to access the roof of a new multi-residential home had side rails that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing or was secured. The employer did not protect employees against falls at heights over 20 feet. This condition exposes to employees to fall hazards.
