29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): The employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential roofing activities with unprotected sides and edges (6) feet or more above lower levels, was protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. a) On April 27, 2023, employees performing roofing on a steep slope roof were not protected from falls of approximately 9 to 17 feet. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).).
