29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a Summit lathe (Model: 3A-42120B12, Serial# 08130) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.   This includes guarding of the rotating hollow spindle and chucks at the end of the machine.  b) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a JET Lathe (Model: GH-1880ZX) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.  c) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a TOS Trencin Lathe (Type: 3N 71B, Serial# 071473354) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.  d) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a Lathe (Machine Type: FUR-63, Serial# 40816) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.  e) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a Van Norman horizontal Milling Machine (Model #3 Standard, Serial# 6101) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.  f) On or about May 3, 2023, and at times prior, a Drill Press (Serial # 85090837) used by employees to machine metal parts, was not equipped with a guard.
