29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical agents:  a. 403 Davis Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032  Employees used hand tools such as, but not limited to, Metabo NV 45AB2 nail guns, without wearing eye or face protection. The employees used nail guns to install shingles on the residential building under construction.  Violation observed 02/10/2023

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(22): Employees  using ladders were carrying objects or loads that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall:  a. 403 Davis Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032  Employees carried loads of construction materials over their shoulders while climbing a Werner extension ladder to the roof, which could cause employees to lose balance and fall.  Violation observed 02/10/2023

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a. 403 Davis Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032  Employees engaged in residential construction activities were installing siding and insulation on a residential building roof, at a height of approximately 33 feet, without any means of fall protection.     Violation observed on 02/10/2023  Luis & G Contractor LLC,  was previously cited for violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11),  which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1404305, citation 1, item 2 and was affirmed as final order on 07/11/2019, with respect to workplace located at 649 Hackensack Street Carlstadt NJ

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  a. 403 Davis Avenue, Kearny, NJ 07032  Employees used Werner extension ladders to access a residential rooftop to install new shingles without extending the ladder at least 3 feet above the landing surface. The access points of the roof were approximately 24 and 33 feet to the ground.  Violation observed 02/10/2023  Luis & G Contractor LLC,  was previously cited for violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11),  which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1404305, citation 1, item 4 and was affirmed as final order on 07/11/2019, with respect to workplace located at 649 Hackensack Street, Carlstadt NJ
