29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(iii)(C):Each cord set, attachment cap, plug and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, except cord sets and receptacles which are fixed and not exposed to damage, shall be visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indications of possible internal damage. Equipment found damaged or defective shall not be used until repaired. a. Located at 12576 Dardevel Court lot 26 Pickerington, Ohio: On or about May 11, 2023, the employees were using extension cords to operate air compressors and circular saws that were plugged into a splitter cord that was missing the grounding pin from the male end of this cord. The employer failed to ensure that all supplied extension cords were inspected before each day's use. Thereby exposing the employees to electrical shocking hazards

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. a. Located at 12576 Dardevel Court lot 26 Pickerington, Ohio. 43147: On or about May 11, 2023, an employee was performing siding work on a two-story home without any type of fall protection system in place. The employee were performing work near the unprotected edges of the home. Thereby exposing the employee to a fall of approximately 9 foot 11 inches to the ground below.
