29 CFR  1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs,  debris was not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures:  (a)Top Finish Carpentry, LLC at 315 East Kemp Avenue, Watertown, SD 57201:  On or about and at times prior to March 22, 2023, the exposing employer did not ensure that debris was kept clear from work areas, passageways, and stairs in that a pile of debris, some of which was combustible had accumulated at the bottom of the elevator shaft on the first floor.  The debris pile exceeded 46 inches in heights at areas.  The condition exposed employees to an increased risk of fire hazard.  (b)Top Finish Carpentry, LLC at 315 East Kemp Avenue, Watertown, SD 57201:  On or about and at times prior to March 22, 2023, the exposing employer did not ensure that debris was kept clear from work areas, passageways, and stairs in that a pile of debris, some of which was combustible had accumulated directly across from the stair access to the second floor.  The pile of debris restricted access to less than 25 inches in multiple areas including tripping/fall hazards.  This condition exposed employees to an increased risk of fire hazard, blocked egress, and the potential for trip/fall hazards.
