29 CFR  1910.22(a)(1):29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.  (a) On or about May 16, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the passageways in the stock room and general condition of the stock room were kept in an orderly condition. Employees were exposed to slip, trip, fall, and fire hazards within the store room from wheeled carts, boxes, and merchandise within the work area.

29 CFR  1910.36(g)(2): Exit access(es) were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points.  (a) On or about May 16, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the exit routes in the stock room were kept clear and unobstructed. Employees were exposed to injuries from fire hazards in the event of an emergency from wheeled carts, boxes, and merchandise that were blocking egress routes.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR  1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge:  (a) On or about May 16, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times. The marked exit door required excessive force to push open.  On the exterior of the exit door, a locked gate prevented egress from the building.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR  1910.176(b):Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse:  (a) On or about May 16, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the freight material that was received on May 12, 2023 and brought into the storage room was arranged in a manner that was stable and secured against sliding and collapse. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from unsecured freight that was not stable and stacked at heights in excess of eighty-four (84) inches. 29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:  (a) On or about May 16, 2023, the employer did not ensure that freight offloaded from delivery trucks maintain thirty-six (36) inch clearance pathway to electrical breaker panels. Employees working in the facility were exposed to electrical hazards from the pathway being less than three (3) feet wide.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
