29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): The employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a.) On or about May 16, 2023, and at times prior, employees removing shingles on a roof with a pitch greater than 4:12 were exposed to unprotected sides and edges of the roof greater than 6 feet above the lower level and were not protected from falling by fall protection, or personal fall arrest system.
