29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i):The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): Reineke Family Dealerships dba Tiffin Ford Lincoln 2020 W. Market Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44833. On or about May 17, 2023, the employer did not ensure that each operator was competent to operate powered industrial vehicles demonstrated through successful completion of training and evaluation requirements. Failure to ensure employees are competent to operate powered industrial vehicles exposes employees to struck by hazards while operating the PIV within the maintenance department.
