29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees did not use eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. a) On or about May 18, 2023, two employees were working on the second story roof of a residential home under construction using pneumatic nail guns without using eye protection, exposing the employees to the hazard of being struck-by flying particles. b) On or about May 18, 2023, two employees were using circular saws on the first floor to cut wooden roofing materials without eye protection, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck-by flying particles.
