29 CFR 1926.1428(a): The employer of the signal person did not ensure that each signal person met the Qualifications Requirements (paragraph (c) of this section) prior to giving any signals. On or about May 16, 2023, and at times prior thereto, an employee performed hand signaling to crane operators at Oak Hill Parkway without the employer ensuring that the employee met the qualification requirements, exposing the employee to struck by hazards associated with working around hoisted loads.
