In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Each circular hand-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: a) Saw Area - On May 18, 2023, the employer did not ensure that the Saw Stop 10" Circular Hand-fed Table Saw, model #ICS53230, serial #1180300176, and the Can Tek Table Saw, was guarded by a hood which completely enclosed the portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
