29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a-(Hampton Hotel) 100 Route 46E, Ridgefield Park NJ: An employee engaged in stucco activities using a portable extension ladder to access a protected flat roof was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 15ft to the asphalt below as the ladder side rails did not extend 3ft above the upper landing surface. Condition observed on or about 05/19/2023.
