29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:  (a): Facility - Wawa Machine - An employee was exposed to mechanical energy from the packaging machine that was being cleaned. The employer failed to develop, document, and utilize procedures for the control of hazardous mechanical energy resulting from the unexpected movement of machine parts during cleaning. The employer failed to ensure that employees were locking out energy sources for the moving components before beginning cleaning. An employee sustained injuries due to contact with the moving parts of the machine, on or about May 24, 2023 .  Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
