29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): On or about May 30, 2023, employees operating degreaser machines 9 and 9b were exposed to caught in hazards when running the timer in-between the machines due to missing guards on the belt and pulley. This item corrected during the inspection.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The employer did not ensure the working space required by this standard may not be used for storage. When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded. On or about May 30, 2023, employees were exposed to electrical hazards due to a 55-gallon drum, and other material, which was stored in front of an electrical panel. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. On or about May 30, 2023, employees were exposed to corrosive chemicals when using the vapor degreaser. The employer did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes because the eye wash provided to employees was not able to provide continuous flushing in the event the corrosive chemicals were to get in the eyes. This item was corrected during the inspection.
