29 CFR  1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c):  a) At 40-Acre Road Construction Site, Linden, Alabama:  On or about May 30, 2023 and at times prior;  the employer exposed employees to cave-in hazards in that employees were allowed to work inside of a trench measuring twelve feet deep, twenty five feet wide, and seventy-five feet in length that was dug in class "B" soil. The employer had not complied with the standard in that employees were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system and the excavation was benched at six feet high at the first bench.
