29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about May 30, 2023, the employer failed to ensure that effective guarding was in place on the Map Mixer machine at the middle level mixer component of the machine and process.  The mixer had an interlock installed on the double doors but there was nothing in place to address the momentum wind down hazard of the internal mixer blade when employees open the doors.
