29 CFR  1910.138(a): Employers shall select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.  At the host employer's establishment located at 450 Ripple Avenue, Oshkosh, Wisconsin; the employer did not select and require the use of personal protective equipment that would protect each associate employee, such as but not limited to appropriate hand protection, or did not ensure that the host employer conducted the appropriate hazard assessment and provided adequate PPE, such as but not limited to appropriate hand protection, exposing each employee to contact with sharp object hazards while working with utility knives. Associate employees utilized utility knives while wearing cut-resistant gloves that did not adequately protect their hands.
