29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Ag/Mechanic's Shop - The mezzanine did not have a guardrail installed along the open edge between the upper landing of the stairway and the wall opposite the wall with the storage room, and employees did not use any other fall protection system, exposing employees to the hazard of falling 13 feet 1 inch to the floor below, on or about June 2, 2023.
