29 CFR 1910.135(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee wear a protective helmet when working in areas where there is a potential for injury to the head from falling objects: 25 Smith Avenue, Niantic, CT, Tree Cutting Jobsite: On or about June 5, 2023, the employer did not ensure that head protective equipment was used when employees were exposed to impact hazards of falling tree limbs, materials and/or tools when working in the drop zone of tree cutting operations at an approximate height of 18 feet.
