29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met. a) On or about June 6, 2023, at Med-Nap Division, 301 Marianne Street, Brooksville, FL: The employer failed to develop, implement, and maintain a written hazard communication program for chemicals used in the laboratory and in the blend room that at least describes how requirements related to labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets (SDS's), and employee information and training will be met. The employees used chemicals such as but not limited to: Acetonitrile - HiPerSolv Chromanorm, Amphosol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Stepanquat 8358 - Benzaconium Chloride (BZK), Kathon CG Preservative - Methylisothiazalinone, Liquid Castille Soap, Lemon Type Fragrance, Anhydrous Propanol, Acetone, Methanol GR ACS, Ethyl Alcohol (190 proof) - Reagent ACS, Isopropanol 99%, and Surcide CP Preservative - Methylchloroisothiazolinone.
