Drum AC line: On or about June 8, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to burn hazards when working near a liquid asphalt tanker without the pipes being protected or insulated to prevent skin contact.

29 CFR � 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: Instance a: Plant area: On or about June 8, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to thermal burns when working near liquid asphalt piping adjacent to the mixing drum that created a potential burn hazard. Instance b: Drum AC line: On or about June 8, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to burn hazards when working near a liquid asphalt tanker without the pipes being protected or insulated to prevent skin contact.
