29 CFR  1910.178(l)(1)(i):The employer shall ensure that each powered industrial truck operator is competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l).  On or about June 8th, 2023, employees were exposed to struck-by or tip-over hazards.  Five employees were authorized to operate both sit-down and stand-on powered industrial vehicles prior to completing initial training and an evaluation of their performance.   Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
