29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained in a safe condition (a): Interior Work Area - Employees were exposed to trip and fall hazards throughout the main work floor area. Damaged, cracked, or missing floor tiles and raised or warped wooden floor planks created uneven floor surfaces throughout the facility, on or about May 30, 2023. U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1) and 29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1629841, citation number 1, item number 1,2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 1, 2023 with respect to a workplace located at 113 Main Street East, Girard, PA 16417. U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1581592, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 12, 2022 with respect to a workplace located at 24760 South Main Street, Carson, CA 90745.
