Employees engaged in framing activities were exposed to fall hazards. The employees worked at a temporary job site, located at 9070 Freedom CT. Lenexa, Kansas. They were exposed to a fall of approximately 19 feet. Employees were not provided with fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access. Employee(s) engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to fall hazards. Employee(s) at 9070 Freedom Court, Lenexa, Kansas were using portable ladders to access the upper landing surface of the framing structure. The ladders did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing surface in the following instances. a) Aluminum Weber extended approximately 1 ft from the landing surface. b) Davidson Pro Series ladder extended approximately 2.5 ft from the upper landing surface.

Lenexa, Kansas, employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to electric shock. Employees were allowed to use frayed Romex wire as an extension cord to provide electricity for a generator to power nailguns used onsite.
