Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  (a) On or about June 20, 2023, employees conducting roofing activities (shingle installation) on a second story  6:12 pitch roof were not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately Twenty-one (21) feet on the West side of the structure.
