At the jobsite, located at 105 Tropicana Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL, On or about August 1, 2023; the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that employees were using a portable ladder for access to the roof work area approximately 8 feet in height which was set up for use incorrectly. No competent person performed an inspection to ensure the ladder was set up correctly.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(5)(i): Non-self-supporting ladder(s) were not used at an angle such that the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder was approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder. a.) At the jobsite, located at 105 Tropicana Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL, On or about August 1, 2023; the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that, employees were installing roofing material on a residential roof approximate 8 feet in height using a portable aluminum ladder for access where the ladder base was extended approximately 58 degrees creating a fall hazard.
