29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(iv): Employees shall always stand firmly on the floor of the basket, and shall not sit or climb on the edge of the basket or use planks, ladders, or other devices for a work position. a) On or about 06/22/2023, during the hot water line insulation project, at the Orleans Correctional Facility, at State School Road, in Albion, New York, the employer did not enforce the safe operating use of an aerial lift during the application of mechanical insulation. Employees were allowed to climb on the boom basket guardrails exposing them to fall hazards while working 14 feet above lower levels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQURIED
